Sunday June 21st: Join as we learn about the Shenandoah LGBTQ Center and hear from Lynn Véronneau & Ken Avis!

The Shenandoah LGBTQ Center is a supportive network where LGBTQ people of all ages in the Shenandoah Valley and Greater Appalachian can thrive as equal, healthy, supported members of our society.

Véronneau was formed in 2010 by French Canadian vocalist Lynn Véronneau and her husband, British guitarist Ken Avis. The couple met a decade ago while performing at a festival in Switzerland. Each performed widely in Canada, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe before teaming up in the U.S. In the USA mid-Atlantic area they’ve earned 6 WAMMIE awards for Best Vocals, Band and Recording Artists.

Kim has served and co-found multiple non-profits, including WQSV 106.3FM, Staunton's first community radio station. Her experience includes leading education and youth programs, as well as theatre directing, research, and arts management. She holds a Master of Letters in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University and a BA in Theatre from Hunter College CUNY.
